Make a classic loaf of Italian bread with ease using your bread machine! This straightforward recipe combines warm water, olive oil, bread flour, sugar, salt, and active dry yeast in the machine — then uses the Basic cycle with maximum crust browning to produce a golden, aromatic loaf perfect for sandwiches, dipping, or toast.

1.50 cups Warm Water (100 - 110 degrees to help yeast activation)
2 tbsp Olive Oil
4 cups Bread Flour
2 tbsp Sugar
2 tsp Salt
2 tsp Active Dry Yeast

In this order, add ingredients to you Bread Maker:
- 1.5cups: Warm Water (100 - 110 degrees)
- 2 tbsp: Olive Oil
- 4 cups: Bread Flour
- 2 tbsp: Sugar
- 2 tsp: Salt
- 2 tsp Active Dry Yeast

I use the basic cycle for a 2 lb loaf and maximum browning on the crust - the takes about 3 hours, 15 minutes in my Pohl-Schmitt bread maker

Remove from bread maker 15 minutes following the end of the bread making cycle/process and allow to cool on a wire rack
